We drove out to Death Valley National Park from Las Vegas in December, which is a manageable time of year for this area. There are no designated trails here since there is hardly any brush or vegetation but there are points of interest where you can park and go exploring. The first stop for us were the salt flats in the Badwater Basin. Here you can walk out for miles on the salt and look up and the towering mountains around you. We then headed over to the Natural Stone Bridge, which is a mile walk in from where you can park. We ended the day up at Dante's View where you can see the valley down below.
