Point Reyes National Seashore is located north of San Francisco and West of San Rafael in Marin County, CA. As a National Seashore, the park is part of the National Park Services and includes miles of beaches and a lighthouse. We took the loop that starts on the Laguna Trail and takes you to Limantour Beach and loops around back on the Coast Trail. The hike is 5 miles round trip with a slight ascent in the first portion. Half way through the hike, you can walk down to the beach and enjoy the ocean view.

We visited Point Reyes on October 2, 2012 and while it was chilly in the shade and by the water, the sun was out so it was pretty warm on the hike and we didn't need anything more than a light jacket for the wind.
